There are many benefits to bringing your dog to Camp Bow Wow! Let’s look at a few:
- Socialization – Dogs who come to Camp develop better socialization skills. They have the ability to play with other dogs their same size and temperament in a supervised, safe and secure environment. Dogs who have the ability to socialize with one another are less leash reactive on walks, have improved behavior during group play and are more likely to play well at the dog park.
- Exercise – Regular exercise is important for all dogs. A quick walk likely won’t provide your dog with the extent of exercise he needs for health and behavioral benefits. A day at Camp provides your dog with exercise that will benefit blood flow, increase oxygen to the lungs, build muscle, increase joint mobility, control weight and enhance quality of life.
- Behavioral – Behavioral issues generally creep up when a dog is bored. We don’t take into consideration the fact that our dogs have brains, and those brains need a task to occupy them or their behavior can become destructive. Dogs with separation anxiety benefit from Camp because it allows them to socialize and keep busy and eases anxiety. The mental and physical stimulation that Camp provides will provide dual behavioral benefits as the Camp environment will tire your dog out both mentally and physically.
- Balance – A well-balanced dog makes for a happy human! Dogs who are balanced have the proper amount of mental and physical stimulation, are more apt to learn and are better behaved. Imagine coming home after a long day at work and having a nice snugly, sleepy dog as opposed to a maniac who’s bouncing off the walls and ready to play ball for 3 hours!
We also recently expanded our daycare hours! Now, we’re open Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. AND Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
